Terms of service

• You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate details when you sign up.
• Keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including actions by team members you invite.
• Tell us straight away at the address below if you think your account has been misused.

New accounts get a 7 day free trial with no card needed. Trial usage is limited as shown in the app. When the trial ends, features that run new checks pause until you choose a paid plan, and your data stays in your account for you to come back to.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on our pricing page or in your order. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where required. Plans renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel any time from the billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and does not renew after that. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we agree to one in writing.

Each plan includes a set amount of usage, such as prompts, checks and credits. Unused usage does not carry over. We may change prices with at least 30 days notice, and the change applies from your next renewal.

You agree not to:

• Break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, through the service.
• Track or audit websites you do not own or are not allowed to work on, where that would break the site's terms or the law.
• Use the service to create spam, misleading content, fake reviews or content that impersonates others.
• Put sensitive personal data, such as health or financial records, into prompts, facts or drafts.
• Probe, overload or break the security of the service, or get around usage limits.
• Scrape the service, resell it, or use it to build a competing product, unless we agree in writing.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

You own the data you put into Variask, including brands, prompts, facts and drafts. You give us permission to host, copy and process it only to provide and improve the service for you. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

You may export your data while your account is active. After you close your account, we delete it as described in the privacy policy. We may use aggregated, anonymous data, for example to publish the AI Index, as long as it does not identify you or your workspace.

If you add the Visitors pixel or crawler snippet to a website, you are responsible for telling that site's visitors about it.

Variask reports what AI assistants and search services say, and it uses AI to write drafts and suggestions. AI answers change from one ask to the next and can be wrong. Our scores show likely ranges, not certainties.

We do not promise any ranking, citation, traffic or sales result. Review drafts and suggestions before you publish or act on them; you are responsible for what you publish. As between you and us, you own the drafts the service writes for you.

Variask, its software, design, brand and reports format belong to us and our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of it. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

The service works with apps such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Slack, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and HubSpot. Your use of those apps is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for them, and a connection may stop working if they change their service.

We work to keep Variask available and fast, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, unless an Enterprise agreement says otherwise. We may add, change or retire features. If we remove a major paid feature, we will give reasonable notice.

Except as stated in these terms, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non infringement, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid anything. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to defend and compensate Variask against claims from others that come from content you publish through the service, or from your breach of these terms or the law.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously break these terms, or if you do not pay after we remind you. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as data, liability and governing law, continue after the agreement ends.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. An Enterprise agreement signed with us may set different terms, and where it does, that agreement wins.

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for important changes we will email account owners at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
