How the UCP readiness checker works
What is UCP?
The Universal Commerce Protocol is an open standard, announced by Google with Shopify and partners in January 2026, that lets AI agents discover what a store supports and complete purchases with it.
What does this check look at?
Your profile at /.well-known/ucp: checkout, fulfillment, discount and order capabilities, service endpoints, payment handlers and signing keys. Then the product data, structured data, policies and crawler access shopping agents rely on.
How is the score worked out?
Half of the score is the UCP profile and half is how easily agents can read and trust your store. A store with great product data but no UCP profile can still be recommended, but agents cannot buy from it directly.
Is it free?
