Enter a page with versions in other languages or countries. We check its hreflang links and whether each version links back.

How the hreflang checker works
What is hreflang?
hreflang tags tell search engines which version of a page is meant for which language or country, such as en-GB for the UK and hi-IN for Hindi in India.
Does hreflang matter for AI search?
AI search features built on Google and Bing rely on their indexes, and hreflang helps those indexes show the right version in each market.
What is x-default?
The version shown to people whose language or country you do not cover, often a language picker or your main version.
Why must versions link back?
hreflang only works when it is confirmed both ways. If the French page lists the English one, the English page must list the French one too.
